Operator AI execution checklist

The operating companion to the Board AI Governance Checklist. Twelve questions for the people who run AI systems, covering model lifecycle and data controls, execution and resilience. Every question applies to AI inside SaaS platforms, copilots and third-party model features, not only to models you build.

It asks whether override authority has actually been exercised, with logged instances, whether each critical system has a tested fallback, and whether a consequential decision could be reconstructed from logs alone. Score each question 2 if it is operating and evidenced, 1 if partial, and 0 if not started. Three or more zeros means the governance described to your board is not the governance operating on the floor.
